SOVEREIGN CITIZEN AWARENESS: AN OVERVIEW FOR COURT ADMINISTRATORS

This virtual presentation provides court administrators and judicial personnel with a comprehensive overview of the sovereign citizen movement within the United States. Learn how sovereign citizen ideology can affect court operations through disruptive courtroom behavior, frivolous pleadings, fraudulent liens, and security threats. Gain practical knowledge to recognize sovereign-related activity, respond effectively, and support the safe and efficient administration of justice.

Join Melissa Noll, Court Liaison with the Michigan Department of State, for a practical update on matters affecting court reporting, driver records, and communication with the Department.

The session will review current requirements and common issues involving abstracts and dismissal information, the impact of court reporting on driver records and driving privileges, available Department resources, and reminders that support timely, accurate reporting and compliance. The program is intended for court administrators, managers, and other personnel involved in court operations.
